Civil Service Exam dates and results timeline
The CSC has given on or before 12 October 2026 for the list of passers from the 9 August 2026 examination, and on or before 19 October 2026 for the online result system. No rescheduled date has been announced for the sitting that was suspended in NCR and parts of Luzon.
Every date below is something the Commission said, in its own wording, with a link to the announcement and the date we read it. Nothing here is inferred, worked out, or copied from another reviewer — that is the standard in our editorial standards, and on this page it is the whole point.
The August 2026 results
| What | When |
|---|---|
| List of passers | On or before 12 October 2026 |
| Online result system (OCSERGS) | On or before 19 October 2026 |
| Passing general rating | 80.00, both levels |
The two dates are different things and a week can sit between them. The first is the release of the results themselves; the second is when the system for generating your own individual rating opens. If your name appears on a list before you can pull up your rating, nothing has gone wrong — the second system has not opened yet.
Both are stated as “on or before”. That is a ceiling the CSC is working to rather than an appointment it has made, and the release can land earlier. Treat the date as the point by which to expect news, not the morning to start refreshing.
The suspended 9 August sitting
The examination was suspended in the National Capital Region and parts of Luzon because of weather. As of our last check the Commission has not announced a rescheduled date.
We are not going to print one. A wrong date on this particular question is not a small error: somebody plans around it, takes leave for it, and misses an examination they were entitled to sit. When the CSC announces, it will appear on its examination advisories and through the regional office that administered your centre, and this page will follow rather than lead.

Common questions
- When will the August 2026 civil service exam results be released?
- The CSC has given a target of on or before 12 October 2026 for the list of passers, and on or before 19 October 2026 for the online result system. Both are stated as ceilings rather than appointments, so the release may land earlier.
- Has the CSC announced a new date for the suspended 9 August sitting?
- Not as of our last check. The 9 August 2026 examination was suspended in NCR and parts of Luzon because of weather, and no rescheduled date has been announced. Watch the CSC's examination advisories and your regional office rather than any reviewer site.
- Where do I check my civil service exam result?
- Through the CSC's online result system, OCSERGS, once it opens for that examination. The list of passers is released first and the online system follows, which is why your name can appear before you can generate your own rating.
- What rating do I need to pass?
- A general rating of 80.00, the same for Professional and Subprofessional. It is one rating for the whole examination, not a hurdle in each subtest.
Preparing while you wait
A date is not needed to start, and the weeks before one is announced are the cheapest weeks you will get. Set a target date in your account once the CSC announces it and the study plan paces itself against it; until then it plans a week at a time from what your diagnostic found.
